Meet the AUTOPILOT -collective Frans Autio and Sami Parkkinen at Galleria Heino on Sunday April 13 1 to 3 pm
The
current exhibition at Galleria Heino, "AUTOPILOT," is part of a
larger collaborative project with artist Sami Parkkinen and doctoral researcher
Frans Autio. The project explores infamous objects made of metal and plastic:
passenger cars that are overwhelming our streets.
You are welcome to come and learn more about the Autopilot project on Sunday,
April 13, 1 to 3 pm. Artist Sami Parkkinen and doctoral researcher Frans Autio
will be present at the gallery.
What is “petroleumscape”, and how is it present on the surface of a car? What
kind of relationship between car culture and visions of the future have
persisted since the late 19th century? How are these phenomena related to car
design?
