There are numerous surprising snags, situations and scenes in the course of life. It is best to prepare for and protect against all eventualities in life to prevent the rug from being pulled under your feet. My photographs deal with protection from gazes and alternative protection strategies: merging into the background, camouflage, attack, retreat. In my video work Camouflage in a bowl , an individual blends into the background in a fruit bowl.
