Afterwards, nobody could explain exactly how everything happened and, after all, the process was surprisingly fast. Some said that something like this was to be expected, while others couldn’t believe that what had happened was true, even when the world had already irreversibly changed. Autofungi just started to show up in every corner of the world and the evolution progressed with tremendous giant steps.

In a few decades, something eventually happened which nobody could prepare themselves for: the human was no longer the leading species on Earth, as the autofungi ripped from the human its seemingly everlasting position at the top of evolution. It was necessary to adapt to a sort of coexistence, and the human species also showed an amazing ability to adapt to the new circumstances it found itself in. The autofungi also adapted swiftly to the prevailing situation and, amazingly enough, soon the influence of the human culture from the lower steps of evolution could be clearly observed in their character and behaviour.

I’m sure I don’t have to repeat these events we all already know so well. The changes that have taken place are undeniable facts and we can all see their world-historical significance simply by looking around.
