SUSANNA MAJURIImaginary Homeland 1.9.2012 – 23.9.2012
I suggest that you look at the images as if you could recognise the places. An encounter triggers the same kind of feelings in people: familiar or strange, near or far. I encounter you in a world of imagination and it is there where we have confronted our fears and hopes. Where do you come from? Do you know this house? Or could you be the person waiting with the birds? How does it feel to revisit a memory which is at once old and new?
I conceal my dreams and desires in images. Water paints with me, landscapes where feelings can be revealed, but remain hidden. You can recognise these photographed places in your imagination. Mysteries will become your secrets, and I want to take you into dreams. Here, my protagonists sing with tunes of joy and yearning.
