a Cup of Water

Water has reached the third step in front of Hotel San Moise when an ambulance boat arrives and the men lift a sick woman on board. The position of the moon predicts high tide and the chairs and tables of restaurants on Calle Cavalli are already placed upside-down on the streets. That is when I feel and eternal truth is hidden in water.

The round table and the three chairs on the observation area of San Lazzaro monastery Island are as lonely as the sea that absorbs the incipient darkness. Sometimes the earthly truth seems light compared to the one in water. Waves can still be seen with our reflection in them. The horizon already arches in the darkness.
