Eila Maaret Forsström 27.10.-18.11.2007
The motifs of painter Eila Maaret Forsström ' s (b.1966) oils, painted on various metal bases, have in previous exhibitions revolved mainly around human figures and portraits, not in the traditional sense, but as expressions of these figures ' psyche or momentary state of mind.Forsström says a similar " psychological mood " is also present in her new works. " They depict colours, events and light, figures, objects and landscapes. These pieces offer more abstract features, motifs chosen at random, simplicity and more clarity of form than my earlier works. I have sought a spontaneous, impulsive style of painting. Each piece conveys a mood or perception. "
